Laura works and lives in Bristol as a contemporary landscape painter. Born in Ireland, she studied Russian in the Slavic Institute of Copenhagen, later moving to Moscow in the early 1990’s where she had the good fortune to work with three prominent Russian artists: Evegeny Lanceray, Yuri Konenyenko and Yuri Koval. Forever on the quest to hone her skills, Laura continued to study in the UK under the watchful eye of Rachel Hemming Bray, and the Hugo Grenville School of Painting.
City views, English vineyards, woodland walks, move Laura to express her emotions with sparing strokes of colour and balanced, contrasting tones. She aims to paint freely, with rich designs, and heartfelt subjects. Drawn to the abstract, her work offers a bridge between reality and abstraction, fused with a strong sense of design and love of colour.

Clifton Arts is clearly a lifeline for so many and these events are greatly appreciated.
The demos and life drawing sessions are also a great success and keep us mentally alert as we struggle on to create a masterpiece!!
I had a lovely morning with Laura at last years Suspension Bridge exhibition when we were on duty together. She is a lovely person and extremely talented. What an inspiration.
